3. Breathe Deeply
Babies breathe naturally and easily, filling their lungs with air and releasing the breath fully. As adults, we often lose that sense of ease and openness. We breathe shallow breaths. We restrict the inflow and outflow of breath. This kind of breathing creates tension. Take a deep breath. Feel it reach down toward your belly. Exhale with an audible sigh. Did you feel your body relax as you exhaled?
Just for today, take a moment to close your eyes and breathe gently and deeply. Allow the breath to relax and refresh you.
